CROW’S MARKET RECAP: Price gains fade in North American lumber and structural panel markets while discounts appear in greater numbers

PORTLAND, OR, March 12, 2018 (RISI) -Lumber prices in North American markets remained mixed, but a slower pace at mills caught up with many, eroding order files and forcing more to discount, according to Crow’s Weekly Market Report for the week ending March 9, 2018.

Doug Fir pricing, and especially green, grew weaker with several items being discounted. Gains in Southern Pine persisted across most dimensions, but gains were restrained.
