Daio reports Mishima fire interrupted mill operations, now resolved
COLOGNE, Germany, Feb. 1, 2019 (PPI Asia) -Daio has reported that a brief fire at its massive Mishima mill in Ehime prefecture, Japan, saw some interruptions to production there.
According to the firm, the January 6 blaze, which was extinguished in less than four hours and caused no human damage, hit some transport belts and impacted overall operations.
However, everything was back to normal by January 14.
The blaze broke out on a machine that macerates biomass fuel.
