Eldorado receives permit to boost sale of energy by one third

SAO PAULO, Jan. 16, 2018 (PPI Latin America) -Brazilian bleached eucalyptus kraft (BEK) pulp producer Eldorado has received permission from the country’s national energy agency (Aneel) to increase the sale of its energy surplus by one third from 30MW/h to 40 MW/h. According to the company, the increase is directly related to the company’s recent authorization to increase BEK output in Três Lagoas mill, Midwest Brazil, to 1.75 million tonnes/yr. In 2017 alone, Eldorado produced more than 1.7 million tonnes of pulp.
