Fedrigoni in talks with trade unions over potential order losses
BRUSSELS, Oct. 12, 2017 (PPI Europe) -Italy’s Fedrigoni is at risk of losing two important contracts, one with the Indian Central Bank and another with the European Central Bank (ECB), for the printing of rupee and euro banknotes.
According to reports in Italian media, the ECB is considering launching a tender for only 50% of its euro banknote needs, with the rest being outsourced to a French paper mill.
A spokesperson at Fedrigoni confirmed that the Indian Central Bank and ECB orders were under discussion but said the situation remains fuzzy as neither central bank has taken a final decision yet. “All ...
