Fedrigoni temporarily restarts paper machine at Fabriano mill in Italy

BRUSSELS, March 8, 2018 (RISI) -Fedrigoni has temporarily restarted one paper machine at its Fabriano mill in Italy, Corriere Adriatico reported. According to the news outlet, the machine, which manufactures security paper such as banknote paper, is expected to produce until April 20.

Back in autumn 2017, Fedrigoni lost two important contracts, one with the Indian Central Bank and another with the European Central Bank (ECB), for the printing of rupee and euro banknotes.

The Fabriano mill can produce approximately 170,000 tonnes/yr of uncoated woodfree, xerographic and security paper. 

Fedrigoni was not available for immediate comment.
