India’s Kay Power and Paper to divest energy assets in India

COLOGNE, Germany, Oct. 27, 2017 (PPI Asia) -India’s Kay Power and Paper has announced its intention to sell off its energy division, concentrating activities on kraft paper production.

The firm gives its kraft paper capacity as 21,000 tonnes/yr at its Satara, Maharashtra mill, but specified actual production is around 1,000 tonnes per month.

Besides its paper capacity, it runs a 6 MW power plant.

Earlier this month, its shareholders agreed to a proposal to dispose of its power assets, though sale, lease, or other means.
