India’s Paswara Papers to expand kraft paper and board capacity

COLOGNE, Germany, Feb. 1, 2019 (PPI Asia) -India’s Paswara Papers has announced its intention to expand the capacity at its Meerut, Uttar Pradesh mill through the installation of three machines.

The new units are planned to be able to produce a cumulative 140,000 tonnes/yr of kraft paper and board.

An Indian supplier, Hardval Engineering Works, has been tapped for two of them, while the firm is considering a Chinese supplier for the third.

Paswara is eyeing a completion date of December 2020 for the work.

Presently, the company has a capacity of 25,000 tonnes/yr of kraft paper, 125,000 tonnes/yr of linerboard and 30,000 tonnes/yr ...
