Inventory down, consumption strong for OCC in September

NEW YORK, Oct. 23, 2018 (PPI Pulp & Paper Week) -Inventories of old corrugated containers (OCC) declined 9.2% in September from the month prior while consumption of the bulk grade is up 2.5% year to date, according to the latest American Forest & Paper Association’s (AF&PA) recovered paper report.

Compared with the same month in 2017, OCC stock is down 13.3% while consumption is 7% higher in September 2018 than in September 2017.
