Mayr-Melnhof continues to show strong results in 2017 on high capacity utilization and improved prices
BRUSSELS, March 29, 2018 (PPI Europe) -Mayr-Melnhof (MM) closed 2017 above the previous year’s record financial results, MM CEO Wilhelm Hörmanseder said in the firm’s result presentation.
The Austrian packaging company continued to slightly improve both its sales and profit in 2017 despite a restrained start of the year. “As the second half of the year was stronger mainly due to prices, it was possible to successfully counter the weaker first six months, [which were] affected by a significant rise in recovered paper prices,” the firm said.
