Metsä Tissue mulls options for napkin business in Germany
BRUSSELS, Jan. 10, 2019 (PPI Europe) -Metsä Tissue has started a strategic review for its Stotzheim mill in Germany. The company ascribed the move to the “low performance in the napkin business.”
The Stotzheim facility specializes in napkin tissue and finished products. According to RISI’s Asset Database, the site operates one tissue machine with a capacity of around 23,000 tonnes/yr. Metsä Tissue reportedly employs some 200 people at the Stotzheim mill.
