More CFP producers opt for production cuts in China
BEIJING, Nov. 9, 2018 (PPI Asia) -More major coated fine paper (CFP) producers in China have been taking five to ten days of downtime as prices move south.
Market supply is being cut by roughly 130,000 tonnes in total, reckoned from late October to the end of November.
Shandong Chenming Paper Holdings took both CFP units at its flagship mill in Shouguang city, Shandong province, offline on November 1.
They have a combined capacity of 1.18 million tonnes/yr.
The shutdown will last for 10 days and reduce the company’s CFP supply by nearly 35,000 tonnes.
