Norske Skog builds new biogas plant for processing waste material at its Skogn mill in Norway

BRUSSELS, Sept. 13, 2018 (PPI Europe) -Norkse Skog, together with Scandinavian Biogas Fuels and Biokraft, has built a biogas plant for processing waste material at its Skogn mill in Norway. The facility, part of the EffiSludge for Life project, will process activated sludge with additional organic biomass, such as fish waste, to make biomethane through anaerobic co-digestion, a press release from EffiSludge for Life explains. The result is then cooled to obtain liquid biogas, a fuel particularly suitable for heavy transport.
