Portocel celebrates 40 years of operation; completes revamp

SAO PAULO, March 13, 2018 (PPI Latin America) -Brazil's Portocel port, owned by Fibria and Cenibra, completed 40 years of operation on Feb. 28 with over 100 million tonnes of pulp transported in the period.

On the same day, Portocel announced the completion of a modernization project carried out in 2017 and early 2018, and inaugurated new wood handling cranes at the barge terminal. Together, the two projects totaled a Real 85 million ($26 million) investment.
