Pulp, paper use rises in Argentina through April

SAO PAULO, July 10, 2018 (PPI Latin America) -Argentinean pulp and paper consumption increased respectively by 3.4% and 4.5% through April 2018 compared to January-April 2017, according to the latest data released by the Argentinean Pulp and Paper Assn (AFCP).

Paper production rose 3.4% to 551,540 tonnes in the period. Of this total, packaging papers accounted for 313,107 tonnes, tissue paper for 111,168 tonnes, printing/writing for 90,598 tonnes and newsprint for 35,217 tonnes.
