Rengo to move, expand Tokushima-based corrugated packaging subsidiary in Japan

COLOGNE, Germany, July 5, 2019 (PPI Asia) -Japanese packaging giant Rengo has announced that it is moving the head office and corrugated packaging plant of Tokushima prefecture-based subsidiary Sanko.

The facility is being moved from an increasingly crowded residential district in Fudo-Honcho to an industrial park in Awa-cho, and Rengo is taking the opportunity to expand its capacity.

As of last year, it could produce 24 million m2of corrugated board and 15 million m2of corrugated boxes.

Rengo is not revealing what the new, expanded capacity will be, nor what it will do with the Fudo-Honcho real estate.
