RISI VIEWPOINT: Will the Chinese ban on mixed paper imports affect Latin America?

At the end of last year, China banned mixed paper imports, and has since put in place a very strict 0.5% contaminant rule that is expected to reduce imports of recovered paper. Given China's huge importance in the global economic scenario, as well as to the pulp and paper industry, these developments are expected to have a worldwide impact.
