Shandong Bohui Paper shareholder massive illegal waste dump exposed

BEIJING, May 24, 2019 (PPI Asia) -China’s Shandong Bohui Paper Industry’s main shareholder, the Bohui Group, has dumped 3.5 million tonnes of solid waste at its industrial site and on nearby farmland in Huantai county, Zibo city, Shandong province, the country’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) revealed.

The Bohui Group is the largest stakeholder in Shandong Bohui Paper, holding 28.84% of the Shanghai-listed company’s shares.

The group also produces various chemical compounds, including sodium hydroxide, epichlorohydrin and adipic acid, on production facilities associated with Shandong Bohui Paper’s pulp and paper lines in Huantai.
