South Korea’s Hansol Paper seeks CFP rises globally
SINGAPORE, March 30, 2018 (PPI Asia) -High pulp costs have prompted Hansol Paper of South Korea to raise prices for its coated fine paper (CFP) exports worldwide.
Effective March 1, the company implemented hikes of 6-8% for the grade sold in other Asian markets.
And effective for April shipments, it announced increases of 4-5% for CFP exports to North America and of 6-8% for deliveries to Europe, including the UK.
Cost factors have forced Korean producers to seek CFP hikes of 5-7% over Q1 in the domestic market.
