SWEA hands Mondi Dynäs case to prosecutor in Sweden
BRUSSELS, Sept. 11, 2009 (RISI) -The Swedish Work Environment Authority (SWEA) has filed a complaint against Mondi about health and safety practices following an accident at the firm's Dynäs mill in Väja, Sweden.
In March, a worker was injured as he was pushing a paper roll onto a forklift. The paper roll rolled back onto the worker who suffered fractures in both his legs. Mondi fired the truck driver, as he was held responsible for the accident.
After its investigation, SWEA decided to contact the prosecutor as it deemed that the accident was down to poor organization on Mondi's part. "We have ...
