Synchronous sheeter
With rotating top and bottom knife drums, the Synchro synchronous sheeter from Jagenberg achieves a maximum cut frequency of 200 per minute. Operating at a maximum speed of 100 m/min without overlapping and 200 m/min with overlapping, it provides length accuracy of 1 mm up to a 1,000 mm sheet length. Simplex-type Synchro sheeters come in working widths of 1,650 mm, 2,150 mm, and 2,800 mm. Jagenberg

Portable moisture tester
The PMT-220 portable moisture sensor combines a patented resonant frequency technique with phase-lock
loop technology, a 16-bit microprocessor, and nonvolatile memory. The PMT-220R incorporates roller electrodes for round products (paper rolls), while the PMT-220B uses a flat plate electrode for webs and board products. Both versions operate at temperatures from 32F to 130F.

Surface and sizing tester
The EST surface and sizing tester measures the wettability and water absorption of internal-as well as surface-sized-paper and board. After less than one minute, the determined parameters shown on the display offer results comparable to time-consuming methods such as the drop angle method. Simple sample preparation and good reproducibility make the EST well-suited for onsite quality control. Muetek Analytic Inc.

Surfactants
Nonatell surfactants are effective in both wash and flotation deinking processes. In the wash process, ink particles are dispersed in the process water and carried through the system. In the flotation system, larger ink particles are collected on air bubbles, trapped on the surface, and then separated from the pulp slurry. These surfactants can provide high brightness and low yield loss without increasing ink particle count and foam. Shell Chemical Co.
