BRUSSELS , June 26, 2013 (RISI) -
Sappi will temporarily switch from a five- to a four-shift system at its Maastricht mill in the south of the Netherlands from September 1, according to a company spokesperson. This will not lead to any permanent layoffs.
The spokesperson declined to comment on the reason for the move, how long it would last or what effect it would have on production, as the firm is still in the legal process of consulting the works council regarding the change.
