The Tapio laboratory printing machine (LPM) eliminates cos;tly commercial print trials and is small enough (157 cm x 186 cm x 130 cm) to fit in a typical laboratory. It can print up to 2,500 m of rotogravure samples—both machine direction and cross machine direction. The print cylinder is 22 cm wide; one rotation is 90 cm long. The LPM prints a continuous image from roll to roll at the speed of 4 m/s.
